In prayer, God’s words:

Always look to God, your path is paved by God, don’t be afraid to wait, the word of God will not fail. Sometimes waiting is a practice, sometimes waiting is to grow your confidence, waiting is to prepare for the future, don’t be afraid to wait, you are not alone, I am always with you, don’t be afraid, you should rejoice because I am with you, take care of you—2010.7.02

I happened to meet a fellow believer online who vented to me about their problems with work, their boss’s poor management, and issues in their personal and family life. For a long time, it seemed like things were not going smoothly at work. Problems at work led to frequent job changes and a general lack of happiness. After hearing so many complaints dumped on me, I felt a mix of emotions. I began to reflect on my own attitude towards problems in the past and wondered if I had ever made the same mistake of dumping my dissatisfaction on others without thinking about the reasons for the problem or examining where I had gone wrong. Instead, I blamed everything and everyone and finally blamed God. People often feel sorry for themselves and think that others have wronged them. They always look at things from their own perspective and neglect to think from others’ perspectives before judging. If you think about it carefully, when you complain your emotions are unpleasant. You think that criticizing things will make you feel better but in fact it makes you feel heavier and heavier. You can’t even sleep well. The burden of worry seems to press on your heart and you can’t breathe freely and easily. It keeps bothering you over and over again so don’t let resentment and dissatisfaction sneak into your heart. Today, seeing the weakness of others also alerts me to be vigilant. It’s time to ask myself every night before going to bed if I have complained today. Let complaints become less and less until we develop a habit of not complaining but only being thankful for each day.

Perhaps one day when facing God’s discipline we may not understand the reason at the time or why we are facing this difficulty but we must carefully experience it and understand God’s intentions and how He wants us imperfect people to experience transcendence in adversity and grow spiritually through life’s experiences. When we are weak we must learn to trust and look up to God and wait for His arrangements for us and the path He has laid out for us. We must learn to discipline ourselves, think positively, be gentle and humble, and believe that no matter what we go through God is with us and we can safely pass through every moment.

I read an article before that had some words that I would like to share with you.

“Pray for the Lord to grant us true faith, enough stability, strong vitality, courage to face unexpected storms. If possible, ask the Lord to remove the cup of suffering but not according to our will but according to His will.

Even if the cup of suffering cannot be avoided let us focus our eyes in adversity away from ourselves and focus on the needs of those who are more pitiable and on eternal pursuits. Take one day’s worries at a time live in the present moment joyfully living out God’s abundant nature.”
