Affected by the financial tsunami, people all over the world are facing an increased unemployment rate, with a significant rise in the number of jobless individuals. This situation has abruptly deprived some of their employment and the salaries they depend on for a living. Confronted with sudden economic challenges, the number of disheartened and depressed individuals has risen. Some choose to escape, opting to end their lives, believing that this resolves all concerns and ends their struggle for survival.

As Christians, we must value the preciousness of life, especially in tough circumstances, and learn to rely on the Lord. We should pray for each other and support one another.

“Human life is given by God, and the age in this world is determined by God. To commit suicide is to commit a capital sin, and the end result is death. Those who commit suicide will be placed in the Hades or Hell”

Therefore, if one thinks that suicide can solve all problems, eliminating all worries, then, despite ending their days on earth, they must face the judgment that follows. Such an act is a mortal sin, the consequence of which is descent into the hell of the underworld. This is an eternal punishment. We must care for those around us, offering comfort and more love to those in need. In this sinful and evil generation, we pray for God’s mercy, for more time, and for increased wisdom to spread the Gospel, so that more people can become strong in God’s love.

“The peace that the Lord bestows on us cannot be found in the world. The more difficult the environment and the affliction are, the more turbulent the outside world is, but our hearts are calm, secure, content, and joyful.”

Bible Study

1.  (Deuteronomy 30:19 ESV) – “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,”

2. (Galatians 6:2 ESV) – “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

3.  (Hebrews 9:27 ESV) – “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,”

4.  (John 14:27 ESV) – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

5.  (James 1:5 ESV) – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

How do I pray?

Kneel with humility

Close your eyes to concentrate.

Begin by saying, “In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray.”

Praise the Lord by saying, “Hallelujah!”

Spend time to speak with God from your heart and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

Conclude your prayer with, “Amen.”
